F That!

I was complaining about this earlier (probably when I was taking this picture out the windshield of my car) but come to think of it, $12 is an outstanding way to keep the riff-raff out. Unless they are on a bus or walking across the bridge (inside TIWYF authors' story).

I to the C. (Yes, I'm back.)

The Novel...

So we all like to read a good book, right? Some of us like biographies, collections of essays, etc. I've always been partial to espionage books myself. Something about a fast moving realistic plot always appealed to me. But lately I've been getting into sci-fi and fantasy. I always hated a lot of fantasy books I picked up because they were just page after page of endless descriptions. The fuck do I care what the magic trees look like (yes that is a poke at Tolken). I am also lazy so I never wanted to commit to a book that was more than 400 pages. However, over these last few months I've read a few Star Wars novels, as well as start A Game of Thrones. They have all been very engaging. So maybe I'm changing my attitude as I get older, I don't know. Whatever, this was just a rant of stuff I have been reading.

Why Super Villains suck now....

What comic companies are missing is the simple thing that made comic villains great: The fact that their civilian names left them with no choice but to become super villains. Examples:
Edward Nigma: The Riddler
Otto Octavius: Dr. Octopus
Pamela Isley: Poison Ivy
Victor Von Doom: Doctor Doom
Roy G. Bivalo: Rainbow Raider (my personal favorite)
So I  ask that all the comic book companies out there start creating brand new villains whose civilian identities reflect their super villain alter egos.

It Lives...

And here I thought the three of us had come to a mutual unspoken agreement to let this blog die... BUT  it seems like we've been getting some consistent anonymous comments lately (thanks to I to the C's sharp eyes for spotting that). Quite a feat for a blog that's been in hibernation for a year! Thanks for the comments Anons!
